Visiting Baltimore & Central Maryland

Baltimore is one of those unique cityscapes where the blend of historic sites and modern attractions is nearly unmatched. Some will argue destinations like New York City and Chicago are comparable, but whatever your feelings on the matter, one thing is certain: a visit to Baltimore and the central Maryland area this fall will yield full days of fun for all members of the family.

Explore Baltimore’s rich collection of premier attractions this fall and winter – don’t miss Federal Hill Park, the Inner Harbor, or the Baltimore National Heritage Area. Some of the most exceptional schools you’ll want to tour this fall in the Baltimore area include Coppin State University, Johns Hopkins University, and the University of Maryland.

Baltimore and central Maryland residents are usually hyped for the fall and winter because it means all the thrills and spills of the NFL and college football area back. Baltimore is most assuredly Ravens country, and this fall they be playing a slew of home games at M&T Bank Stadium.

Make the drive in from nearby Towson or Elkridge on November 6th and catch the Ravens take on one of their biggest rivals the Pittsburgh Steelers. Over the Thanksgiving weekend, you can watch the Ravens battle their in-division foe Cincinnati Bengals on November 27th. The Ravens close our their 2016 regular season at home on December 4th against the Miami Dolphins.

If you lean towards the college game, head south of Baltimore into College Park, just west of Annapolis along Interstate 495, and you’ll be in Terrapins country. Visit Maryland Stadium on November 26th and watch as the Maryland Terrapins close out their season against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.

This fall in Baltimore, you’ll find a wide range of excellent live concerts to check out. On October 29th, international superstar Toni Braxton will take the stage at the Lyric Opera House starting at 8 p.m. You’ll definitely want to make the drive in from Easton for a Toni Braxton show. If the classic rock jams are what you really groove to, head over to the Rams Head on Stage venue on October 16th to see the Marshall Tucker Band live at 8 p.m.
